Steel Panther "On The Prowl" Tempe, Arizona
Steel Panther did not hold back on their 3rd stop of the "On The Prowl" 2023 Tour at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, Arizona. All vulgarity and profanity aside (which we love by the way), Michael Starr, Satchel, Stix Zadinia and newly added bassist Spyder are some of the best musicians around today. A buddy introduced me to Satchel back in 2001 @ The Viper Room in Hollywood when we went to see them play as as Metal Shop and I was hooked. It's crazy to see the same energy they had back then, 22 years later.
In a time where the woke mob tries to dominate literally everything with bullshit like "I'm denouncing my US Citizenship", it was great to see Steel Panther just do what they do best. Kick some Heavy Metal Ass. And yes, they did manage to get a couple of ladies to show us all their titties.
They opened the show with 'Eyes of a Panther', followed by 'Let Me Cum In' and my personal favorite, 'Asian Hooker'. I could hear the crown singing along from the pit and in the crowd, not missing a lick. Michael Starr still sounds great at the ripe old age of 77 (according to Satchel)
The set continued with songs both old and new. 'Never Too Late (To Get Some Pussy Tonight), '1987' and all the way back to 'Death To All But Metal'. And what would the night be without a visit from Dr. Rockso, who joined the band on stage for 'Community Property' and 'Gloryhole'
This show was just perfect, and as always some of the best parts of the show are the back and fourth heckling and of course the famous band member intros. Tonight I didn't think about work, politics, left, right, or anything 2023 bullshit. Just Heavy Fk'n Metal! Get to a show near you. Especially if you've never had the chance to see them live. Just leave the kids at home :)
